Frequently-Asked Questions
Q: How can I help?
A: Any contributions are welcomed. Packaging, testing and bug-reporting, patching and fixing various aspects of it, etc. are all greatly appreciated.
Q: Okay...so how do I report a bug? How do I contact you?
A: The best way is to post to the curvylooks-discuss mailing list. Membership is not required to post to this list, but all posts by non-members are held in a moderation queue to avoid spam; thus your post will likely be seen much more quickly if you are subscribed to the list. Also, this list follows the same etiquette guidelines as used by the Fedora Project.
Q: What dependencies does this have?
A: The only necessary dependency is a recent (2.12+) version of GTK+ and the Clearlooks engine. However, the theme is designed to be best paired with the Tango Icon Theme and Metacity window manager in a GNOME environment.
Q: What are the "Signatures" next to the download links?
A: These are cryptographic signatures made with the GNU Privacy Guard. Using these with an OpenPGP-compatible client, you can verify that your download is a bit-for-bit duplicate of the offered packages to ensure that no errors were made and your download matches what is intended. When verified, the package should be signed with my public key and the signature should appear similar to the following:
$ gpg --verify curvylooks-VERSION.gtp.asc
gpg: Signature made DATE AND TIME using DSA key ID FFC19479
gpg: Good signature from "Peter Gordon (codergeek42) <peter@thecodergeek.com>"
gpg: aka "Peter Gordon (Fedora Contributor) <pgordon@fedoraproject.org>"
Q: GTP? What format is this?
A: This is a GNOME Theme Package. Although, it is really nothing more than a fancifully-named GZip Tarball. You can rename it to a .tar.gz and open it just as you would other gzipped tarballs. Please see the XFCE wiki for details.
Q: You're stupid!
A: No; just slightly insane. =)
